Bella Magari In Cherry Creek Denver
My journey with Bella Magari has been so darn fun. It’s also been a huge learning curve. From learning how to build, launch and manage an online store, to learning the hard way that some suppliers are not reliable and have crap items (so glad that’s fixed), then of course learning all about how to do pop-up shops (which is one of my favorite parts of my journey so far) and now navigating having an actual physical location for Bella Magari! It’s all been such a journey, with many successes and many frustrations. But that’s business y’all! Business isn’t for the faint of heart, it’s not always easy, it requires a lot of learning and growing, and it also requires a ton of faith in God. At times I didn’t know the EXACT direction for my boutique, but it’s not my job to know the future. It’s my job to stay in line with my values, work my butt off and have faith the God will guide me in the right direction.
I didn’t think having a physical location was an option, I thought the only way that’d be possible was to own a storefront. At the Sugarplum Bazaar last November I heard some of the vendors talking about The District Shops so I immediately looked into it. The concept is brilliant and a perfect match for my life. The District Shops is a huge building next to the Cherry Creek mall that has 300+ local vendors! You can come to one location but shop all of these amazing local shops! In fact, you can grab stuff from any boutique and check out at the same register, it’s so convenient and I love it. When I first walked into The District Shops it was love at first sight! I was in awe at how adorable each vendors spot was, and in love with so many products (I wanted to buy like 100 things in the first ten minutes). You can come to one location and find treasures for yourself, your home, your little one, your spouse, etc. It’s got a bit of everything but somehow it all flows together and looks extremely cohesive throughout the store. I love supporting local businesses, especially now that I am a small business I see the importance in choosing to shop small instead of rushing to Walmart for every need.
The primary reason The District Shops is a perfect fit for me is that I don’t have to actually be there all the time. My first priority is being a mom and taking care of Giulian. My dream is to have my cake and eat it too. Meaning I want to build a business and be a stay at home mommy and raise my own kids. If I opened an actual storefront all by myself I think it’d be more time consuming than I could even fathom, and I’m just not in a season of life where that’d work. I think I’d love to do more locations like this, who knew but turns out there are a ton of places like this in Colorado! It's becoming the new way to shop and I love it.
To celebrate the launch of Bella Magari and Never Skip Brunch Boutique in The District Shops we threw a blogger party (of course)! We invited all of the local bloggers out for a VIP experience at The District Shops so they could sip, shop and snack after store hours. It was such a blast, thank you so much to everyone who came out that night to celebrate! It truly meant the world to Cara (Never Skip Brunch) and I. Take a peek at the pictures below to get a behind the scenes view.
Another special thank you to Renee from Astonishing Cakes for creating the most beautiful spring themed cake pops, they were stunning and delicious and got gobbled up right away ;). Thank you to Culture Meat and Cheese for providing charcuterie boards to snack on. And another thank you to Mel with Malwine Studios for taking the most amazing photos of the night! Mel takes the most beautiful photos and is in the Denver area if you’re looking for a photographer that is super versatile.
