New Purposes For Your Old Candles

It may seem silly but I am SO excited about this blog post!!! I am loving the idea of recycling these old containers and finding new purposes for them! I used to just throw old candles away... the glass, lid, old wax and all. But now I have found a new home for all of that! I hate wasting things!! I love to take something old and make it new again. This is just one simple way you can do that!!

HERE ARE SOME OF THE OLD CANDLES I HAD AROUND THE HOUSE

WHAT TO DO WITH THEM NOW??

HERE ARE A FEW IDEAS FOR YOU

WAX: I scrape out the wax that is at the bottom using a butter knife, and if it still smells great then I will use it in a plug in burner... The ones that you place the wax on, plug them in and they warm the wax! I love these things, they make the house smell amazing! Reusing the wax in these is a great way to save $$ and also a great way to recycle!

* After you remove all of the wax, soak the container, I even run them through the dish washer.

Candle Containers: This is where it gets fun! Really you can use these containers for anything! I will add pictures below with some things I have used them for! But get creative!! I purchase my candles with a few things in mind now, ONE obviously seeing if the candle smells good and is a quality candle. But TWO I now always make sure I LOVE the container it is in!!!! Here is one candle I bought that was PERFECT in both ways!

SO CUTE!!!! I purchased this candle at HOME GOODS! It was a great deal! I love the cork top!

                                                                      &nbs…

                                                                            ADORABLE!

One store that stands out when I think of cute candles is ANTHROPOLOGY !!!! Omg my husband and I were there the other day and I wanted to spend $500 just on candles lol!!!! Here is a pic!

There are many things I have done with the containers... I have used them as Qtip holders, jewelry holders, pen/pencil holders, tea bag containers, etc.  I recently bought a cute little plant for one of them! Really you can use them for anything.

Even just cleaning them out and donating them to the GoodWill is better than throwing them away... THAT IS SO WASTEFUL!!! And I am guilty of it!
